Going on and on

So Wei Wen and Aik Oui are back from overseas. It's a matter of time before the rest comes back. It has been a year, a lot can change in that time.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Anyway, it has been a tough semester for me; one of the hardest in fact. It's not over yet, but it's moving along fine, slow and slightly painful. Here are some of my works from my Advance Advertising Visuals class (it even comes with grades and lecturer's comments, awesome huh?):

In this class we learned how to do storyboards,
which is a series of panels containing visuals outlining the scene sequence
and major changes of action or plot in a production to be shot on film, video,
and in this case, commercials.

The Key

Classroom Fight

Nescafe 3in1

McD's MegaMac

VW Golf GTI

Treasure Hunter

Heineken

Some of the above works' contents are original,
while some already exist in the market.

Some ask me if I'm still doing pencil portraits. My answer is officially "No". However, I still do a few portraits every once in a while when I have the time, and only if the subject is worth it.

On and off, some of my friends brand me as being the artsy kind of person, and assume the only kind of work I do in college is sketches and drawings, which is kinda annoying.

I am an ADVERTISING DESIGN student.

I apologise. All the works I show in this blog are mostly drawings. That's only because they're the easiest to post up. I can't show my other works due to lack of good and proper digital pictures.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In other news, nothing much happened outside studies. Just a few outings.
But I have sophisticated plans for the months ahead, I hope it'll come to fruition.

Ok. Thank you.
God Bless.

Just a little filler

Something desperately needed to be put up to replace the post before this. The longer it stayed up there, the more crude it seemed to become. So here's a little picture of an innocent angel to balance all the evil that's been going around.

Ahh, bliss...

Anyway, just a little update. Exams starts today and ends in a week-and-a-half, after which I would be flying home on the 17th November. So see ya soon!

Yours Sincerely,
One of the Boring Brothers.

Ramblings.

It has been a long time since I contributed a post to this blog. So here I am!

HAPPY 2nd BIRTHDAY BLOGGGG!

Updates.

Life has been quite hectic and I don't wanna bore you with scheduling mess.

But Canberra is getting popular. Heh. Yan Min and Kavi (our SA friend) are coming to visit on the 25th sept! weeeee!

And Sern and Lynn are coming to visit Canberra at the end of the year. yayyy. :P

About my knee, well I am undergoing physiotherapy atm. 4 months and yay, I can dance and move about pretty awesome. :P Just haven't tested it out fully yet by running. But fingers crossed I will be 100% recovered soon enough :)

OH AND
HAPPY BIRTHDAY SHARON! <3

And cuz I am currently on a facebook famine for a week (no kidding), my brilliant initiative after undergoing the 40 hour food famine. (famine addict much?) So, back to wishing Sharon. My famine will only end in 2 hours as we speak, so I cannot wish you on facebook in time!

Lol. Nowadays facebook is the new official standard for everything. Wishes are legit when made through facebook somehow. :S

Hence my famine. For three objectives. Mainly, to raise $350 for World Vision. Woot. I have almost $320 plus as we speak and more friends will be taking their hats off (and emptying their pockets :P) knowing that I have SURVIVED the famine (to some it is even more OMG than food famine. tsk tsk.)

Secondly, to get me off the blue and white screen. Literally my index finger looks out for F keypad the first thing I am logged on the internet. It's badddd.

And thirdly, for my own amusement. I mean, I agree it was so utterly lame to go on a facebook famine, but you know anything goes these days right. Haha. And to me being 21 is just that. Doing something totally outrageous (or not) which has little to no consequences to myself or other people. Only good things arrive from my famine so yayy! :)

Anywhoooooo. That's all from me I suppose. Ean! Be pressured to get facebook so I can get updates from you more often! Sumin and Wei Wen come to Canberra! :D

Love, Winnie.

Is it really?

Yes it is. This blog is celebrating the end of a very very very *deep breath* very very VERY low-key 2nd year of existence and the beginning of what is hopefully to be a more EXCITING and ACTION-PACKED third year. WOOHOO!

Oh, and as usual, today so happens to also be the day Sharon was born. Yea, so happy birthday to you if you ever read this, Sharon.

Cheers.

It's starting soon...

...so I thought I'd start practicing again.

It didn't turn out like how I'd expected.
Go ahead, take a guess.
Guess who she is.

Ok. Thank you.
God bless.

Hello ppl.

It has been awhile...

Just a short update regarding my college work,
I don't do pencil portraits like how I use to;
mainly because it's simply not an assignment that I have do anymore.

But once in a while, if I feel like it I'll pick one or two
of my very plentiful 'camwhore' pictures from my friends
as reference for my drawings.
(Camwhore is such demeaning word and I'll tell you why some other time.)

I've been fine just in case you are wondering.
If you're not, I'm just tellin' ya.

Alright, what's next?

untitled

Cool. Red crescent t-shirt designs are improving.
I hated the previous design. it looked as if the front was the back and the back was also the back.
It was way overcrowded.
This time, it looks like this:Awesome, good job! Wouldn't mind getting one myself.

Oh.. and just a minor issue of plugging my photo only blog: http://experience-in-pictures.blogspot.com/
(actually, the main reason for this post is to plug this blog. the rest of the post is so that i don't seem like such a narcissist.)

early - life - crisis

You know you are getting older when you realize you have lived under the the administration of three out of six Malaysian Prime Ministers. That is half of Malaysia's administration!

Time flies and you realize you have responsibilities and yet still feel like a child, too lazy and undisciplined to do something as 'simple' as to start studying for exams.. Gone are the days where your soul is free and your mind unstressed. Although I have to say, I consider myself to be a happy-go-lucky, carefree person.. and very..VERY stress free.. until it's too late and too close to exams that is. I pity those who stress out easily though.. women... HAH! Suck it! Men handle stress better, and enjoy life more! But women do live longer..

HAVE A NICE DAY

Peace Out

Lake Tekapo, 2 years late.

This really should be a contender for my picture of 2007. Taken during a trip to this place in mid 2007 called lake Tekapo, a 2 and a half hour drive from christchurch... I think. Like I said, its two years ago, memory's fuzzy. Anyway, old picture it may be, its still a beautiful view nonetheless and representative of the lake today. Unless global warming has dried it all up, if so, I haven't heard any news about that. This is a panoramic picture, composed of three pictures stitched together. ENJOY

*Click to really enjoy it's full beauty*

Some info about Lake Tekapo, PLAGARIZED (higher education's term for what we call COPY or CHAO DA AN in secondary school) straight from our friendly information source, Wikipedia:

"Lake Tekapo is the largest of three roughly parallel lakes running north-south along the northern edge of the Mackenzie Basin in the South Island of New Zealand (the others are Lake Pukaki and Lake Ohau). It covers an area of 83 square kilometres (32 sq mi), and is at an altitude of 700 metres (2,300 ft) above sea level."
